Within the Presbyterian Church, the spiritual leadership and welfare of congregations are looked after by a group of people called Elders. Each of the Inishowen Four has their own group of Elders who themselves, along with the people, are supported, guided and pastored by the minister

Rev. Philip Poots

Born and raised in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, Philip has always had a soft spot in his heart for Donegal and after serving as Assistant Minister in Newmills Presbyterian Church outside Portadown he received the call to come and be the new minister of the Inishowen Four.

Philip’s passion in ministry is seeing the gospel come to life in the everyday. He wants people to come to love and know Jesus better and for them to be disciples who make disciples. He loves doing ministry the ‘Jesus way’ which for him means over food with a good chat.

In his spare time, you can find Philip carving spoons, playing guitar, or indulging his love of fine tweed. If you have any questions or would like to talk to Philip he’d love to hear from you either by phone or email.

“What do I want for the people here? For them to see Jesus more clearly, to know and love Him more deeply, and to follow Him more closely”
